Vibration Therapy
About Vibration Therapy
Do you experience chronic pain or headaches? Vibration therapy is a non-invasive, effective therapy to promote overall health and support healing.
In vibration therapy, a hand-held vibrating device transmits vibrations to your body through the therapist's fingers. These vibrations stimulate the muscles causing them to contract and relax. This increases blood flow to the targeted areas, which supports healing.
There are different types of vibration therapy. Whole-body vibration therapy involves standing or sitting on a platform that sends vibrations throughout your body. Localized vibration therapy involves a hand-held device that sends vibrations to a targeted location in your body. At Supportive Healing, we use localized vibration therapy as one of our massage techniques.
